1969    Born in Halle at river Saale, Germany

1976    Start with clarinet studies

 

1981 and 1983    Winner of GDR Youth Competition "Central Meeting of Young Talents" at Potsdam

 

1986    Study with Manfred Ruempler at Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin ("Hanns Eisler" Music Academy Berlin)

 

1988    Member of the orchestra academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin (Orchestra of the Berlin State Opera)

 

1989    Study with Prof. Franz Klein at Musikhochschule Köln (Cologne Music Academy)

 

1991    Deputy solo clarinetist at Komische Oper Berlin

 

1991    First Prize at Westfälisches Musikfest Hamm, Germany

 

1993    Solo clarinetist of Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt
